Thanks for posting this trailer, E.! : )

Intriguing and I do like the Parisian connection. I'll definitely see it, as I'm a Dracula completist. That said, it's definitely Besson's retread of the '92 Coppola film, although with several necessary changes to inject his own originality into the plot.

Gotta say, though, on a "shallow" level, that I personally don't find Jones at all attractive. As for romantic - for me, nothing beats Gary Oldman in his prime as young Dracula. Such intensity!

I'm always up for Vlad / Mina stories, and yes, it is like fanfic. Although, considering how close some of the costuming / visuals in this new version are to the Coppola film, I'm rather surprised there hasn't been a lawsuit (yet).

There's been some odd interpretations of Dracula over the years. The Gerard Butler one (Dracula 2000) comes to mind. That was really off the cuff.

Hoping that since the "modern" part of the new film is set in Belle Epoch Paris, that we'll get some interaction with the Impressionists and the theatre / ballet. That's an era of great interest to me.
